The Café Fumar Story

Cigar tobacco and coffee beans are both grown in the same parts of the world, primarily the Indonesian regions, the African regions and the Central and South American regions. The terrain tobacco and coffee beans are grown in is very similar as are the methods of growing and irrigation.

With all of the similarities it's only natural to pair them together. These blends will perfectly compliment your favorite cigar.

Introducing the Café Fumar Coffee Blends:

TORCEDOR ESPRESSO BLEND: Italian Style Espresso
A true Italian Espresso roasted slowly to extract the rounded, robust flavors, full bodied texture, and exotic aroma while remaining smooth and not over-roasted. A blend of Indonesian, Brazilian, and South American beans.

Medium-Dark Roast

Torcedor: A master cigar roller.

CATADOR ESPRESSO BLEND: American Style Espresso
Indonesian, Brazilian, and South American beans create this rich, smooth espresso. This blend is roasted slowly to produce an espresso that does not leave a ringing bitter aftertaste, just a thick flavor packed crema.

Dark Roast

Catador: The taster who meticulously monitors the finished cigars on a daily basis.

MADURO BLEND:
A naturally sun dried Sumatran coffee that is rich in earthy flavor and lingers on the palate with a smooth, full bodied taste.

Dark Roast

Maduro: The word means ripe in Spanish and refers to a dark reddish-brown almost black wrapper shade.

This blend was specifically blended to pair with the rich naturally sweet characteristics of a maduro cigar.

VOLADO BLEND:
Velvety smooth marked with a sweet finish.

Medium-Light Roast

Volado: One of the 3 filler leaves used in a cigar. These leaves are taken from the bottom part of the plant and impart light flavors and help the cigar in obtaining an even burn.

Barista recommendation on cigar pairings with this coffee blend:
Mild to medium bodied cigars.

SECO BLEND:
This single origin Ethiopian Sidamo coffee has a complex cup and resonates with a hint of sweet fruit and citrus aroma.

Medium Roast

Seco: This filler leaf taken from the middle of the plant often contributes aroma and is usually medium-bodied.

Barista recommendation on cigar pairings with this coffee blend:
Medium to medium/full bodied cigars.

LIGERO BLEND:
A bold single origin Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee that is slow roasted to create a smooth, smoky, full bodied flavor.

Dark Roast

Ligero: One of the 3 fillers of tobacco leaves. The word literally translates to light although it refers to the top most leaves of a plant that are richest in flavor and often darkest in color.
